Synopsis
When Melissa Leech was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, she was having the time of her life at Aston University, everything was as near perfect as it could be. The rules that dictated her near perfect life changed dramatically the day the family were given the news that she had cancer. Everything changed in a moment and they all had to adapt to living a new way of life and taking things one day at a time...This story chronicles the Leech family's journey from the summer of 2007 when Mel began to display symptoms of the disease. This book uses the words of patient and carer to tell, not only Mel's story, but also the parents' too. The profits from this book will be split between the Queen's Hospital at Burton on Trent and Nottingham City Hospital, the two centres where Melissa received her treatment. One pound from each copy sold will be donated to the Lymphoma Association. Lymphoma is the sixth most common cancer and the most common in the 15 - 30 age group. The Lymphoma Association give tremendous support to those affected by Lymphoma.
