Synopsis

With the present financial situation this new edition features more affordable places, such as pubs, as alternatives to service stations for a meal or a quiet rest just five minutes from motorway junctions. The author has personally selected over 200 entries which are included for their ambiance, friendliness or peaceful surroundings. They do not pay for inclusion so each is chosen solely on merit. Each is illustrated by the author for ease of recognition. Special mention is made if dogs and children are welcome as well as places of interest nearby.
