Listen Around

This cassette provides a wide variety of music and exercises giving GCSE students valuable listening practice to help them hear what the music is trying to convey and how it achieves this. The book is divided into four levels with exercises carefully graded in difficulty to cater for different abilities. Each level is then systematically divided into the following sections: beats and bars; shapes and sizes; chords and cadences; groups and families; and light and shade. Two listening tests conclude each level and help students gain experience in approaching real tests as well as consolidating the work covered at each level. There is an accompanying teacher's book.
