Synopsis

The Camberwell Assessment of Need is a tool for assessing the health and social needs of people using mental health services. This text has been developed as a forensic variant of the CAN which assesses the health and social needs of mentally disordered offenders. It includes the rating scales, a description of how it was developed, administration details, a sample training programme, a description of psychometric properties and blank assessment forms for photocopying.
