Telling Our Story, Living Our Faith: Women in the Churches Worldwide

Synopsis

Six women from different regions of the world relate the key experiences of their lives. They talk about their faith and how the world-wide ecumenical community has strengthened them in their commitment, about overcoming violence and healing, and about justice and peace. Water as a source of life serves as the link between the women's testimonies. The film targets students in the process of theological formation, groups working on the issue of overcoming violence, women's groups, ecumenical groups and Christian congregations. By tracing the spiritual journey of some outstanding women in the ecumenical movement, it can stimulate reflections on faith and the challenge to overcome violence today. A brochure with brief portraits of the women and questions for group discussion is included. Subtitles are included in English, French, Spanish and German. Approximate running time is 36 minutes.
