Understanding and making the best use of the huge amount of information available is one of the key challenges facing today's learners. "Information Literacy" looks at literacy skills needed for the 21st century, offering tips and strategies for dealing with the immense volume of information. The areas covered include: identifying and understanding the need for information, successful strategies for locating information, assessing accuracy, relevance, and comprehensiveness of information, distinguishing among fact, point of view, and opinion, organising information for practical use, and, respecting the right to free expression and the ideas of others.
