Synopsis
Tony Armstrong Jones was the first commoner to marry into and be accepted by the Royal Family. Yet he was also the initiator of controversial rebellions against the prescriptive royal authority, the legacy of which continue to be felt in succeeding generations of marriage and their aftermath, his apparently idyllic marriage to Princess Margaret in 1960 the ironic precursor to a breakdown of superficial conventions. This biography investigates the life, loves and career of the man who is now Earl of Snowdon.
