Synopsis

A volunteer English teacher dies in mysterious circumstances in Sudan. His friend looks for answers in a country beset by political and religious intrigue, civil war and famine, and finds the dead man's diaries with a film of a hauntingly beautiful Sudanese Muslim girl. This is a story of espionage, forbidden love and its brutal consequences, graphically told.
