Synopsis

"Storybox Activities" offer literacy packs for the three to five year olds. The pack contains a book of activity ideas based on a Scholastic paperback story book, which is included together with an A2 poster depicting characters from the story. The stories have a particular appeal for the 3-5 age range and should provide lots of opportunities for linking with popular themes. All the activity ideas are based on the Early Learning Goals and should provide broad coverage of the early years curriculum. "Home Before Dark" tells the story of a teddy bear who is left in the park by mistake and has to make his own way home. The activities in the book include sequencing teddy's journey; ordering teddies by size; looking at clothes for different weather conditions and road safety.
