Synopsis

Cognitive-analytic therapy (CAT), is an integrated model for understanding neurotic and personality disorders and for conducting psychotherapy. It could be described as the application of psychoanalytic understanding and of some psychoanalytic techniques within a framework, and with additional treatment methods derived from cognitive psychology and psychotherapy. This book is a guide to the use of CAT in clinical work, and also addresses the underlying theoretical issues.
