Synopsis

"The Journal of the Musical Arts in Africa" (JMAA) is a new journal that aims to combine ethnomusicological, musicological, music educational and performance-based research in a unique way to promote musical arts on the African continent. This internationally refereed journal incorporates the following: research in the musical arts (music, dance, theatre) and related disciplines; research based practical suggestions for the music teacher and general arts and culture teacher; methods of instrumental and vocal teaching (African, Western and Non-Western); and music technology.
