Spring - Themes for Early Years S. (Paperback)

Seasons are used as a stimulus for activities in all early years settings partly because their effects are so apparent on a day-to-day basis, spring is a particularly enjoyable season to look at with its concentration on warmer weather and new life. There are six chapters within the book which cover spring weather, outdoor signs of spring, spring traditions, spring around the world, animals in spring and new beginnings. Linking up to these activities is a photocopiable anthology section of activity rhymes, poems, stories and songs, all based on the spring theme. A topic web shows how the activities help to prepare for both the National Curriculum and the Scottish 5-14 guidelines.
