Synopsis

When a wagon carrying confederate gold vanishes in the mountains above Prospect a legend is born. Fifteen years later, Sheriff Tom Morgan finds himself caught up in the middle of that legend when Ethan Small is accused of murdering Jed Blake and his wife. But along with Blake dies the evidence that the gold never left Prospect all those years ago. Soon, Tom realises that Ethan Small's guilt is less certain than at first appeared but trying to prove that makes him a marked man. Someone in Prospect wants the sheriff dead and will go to any lengths to keep their secrets buried.
