About the exhibition
This exhibition features portraits of Her Majesty the Queen by great society photographer Cecil Beaton. It shows the Queen in her roles as princess, mother and monarch and coincides with the 60th anniversary of her accession to the throne. The exhibition explores Beaton's long relationship with Queen Elizabeth II who was a teenage princess when she first sat for Beaton, and charts the Royal Family over three decades. There are nearly 100 images, including some never- seen-before photographs as well as excerpts from Beaton's diaries and letters.
