International Customers

We are happy to offer our products to international customers. Below are details that you will find useful when placing orders to be shipped outside of the UK.

Please note: eReaders and any eReader 'bundles' are only available for purchase by UK and Ireland customers and can only be sent to your credit card billing address via Courier delivery. This is to ensure that your order is fully trackable and to help us prevent fraud.

Standard Surface mail

You will be charged a shipping cost for each item placed on your order. Upon entering the shipping country, deliveries will enter the postal system of the country concerned. It is our experience that goods delivered using this method arrive within seven to 14 days of despatch for European destinations, and within 14 to 24 days of despatch for the rest of the world.

Overseas Courier Delivery

You will be charged a shipping cost for each item placed on your order. Orders will be despatched using our international courier. This method is fully secure, and we can track and trace the shipment for you. Orders placed by this method should usually reach you within four to five days of despatch for European destinations, and within seven to ten days of despatch for the rest of the world. Orders sent via this method will require a signature upon receipt.

We would request that you register a contact telephone number when using our express shipping method. This will mean that the courier can contact you should they be unable to locate your address.

VAT

The prices payable for goods are as set out in the website, inclusive of VAT where applicable (books are currently zero rated). Customers ordering for delivery outside of the UK will be responsible for payment of any local taxes payable including VAT, and will be required to pay extra for delivery and clearance where necessary.

Customs Charges

If you are ordering goods for delivery outside of the UK, please note that your consignment may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the goods reach the country of destination. Any such charges levied in relation to customs clearance must be paid by you. It is accepted by you that Waterstones has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. Waterstones recommend that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order. You will be the importer of record and responsible for any import VAT and duty that needs to be paid. In addition, any charges for import clearance will be paid by you, the customer.

BFPO Addresses: For BFPO addresses, please select UK as your country. Please note that we are currently unable to send orders by courier delivery to BFPO addresses. Please make sure you do not have this method selected at checkout.
