How can I get free delivery?
Waterstones.com is currently offering free UK delivery on books!* Please ensure that you select "Free delivery" during checkout.
Terms and Conditions of this offer:
The items you order will be delivered in one consignment, they cannot be delivered separately.
The offer only applies to orders with delivery addresses in the UK.
Orders placed using free delivery will be delivered 2-4 days later than the first class delivery.
We also offer free shipping on book orders*, delivered to UK high street and campus branches of Waterstones. (*as above, this excludes all eReaders and some high value books)
As with standard delivery, items delivered via this method are usually received in store within two to five working days from despatch and will then be held at the store for 90 days for you to pick up at your convenience.
Please remember to take your despatch note or order number and a form of ID with you when you go to collect your goods - we require these as a proof of purchase, and without it we cannot release your goods.
How can I tell if something is in stock online?
If an item is in stock, we will display a message of eg: In stock - Usually Despatched within 24/48 hours.
For titles which are not currently in stock, each product page gives a 'Usually despatched' time which is an indicator (not a guarantee) on how long it will take us to receive the item from our supplier. Please see the availability types below for a breakdown of what these indicators mean.
What other delivery options are there?
For UK orders we also offer 1st class delivery and courier delivery. For overseas orders we offer surface mail delivery and courier delivery.
What is Reserve & Collect?
Our Reserve & Collect service allows you to search for the book you're after and if it's in stock in your chosen bookshop, reserve it for collection from them. The shop will then contact you to confirm that your chosen book has been put aside, ready for you to pick up, at a time that suits you, over the following five days.
