Never Cry Wolf by Farley Mowat. I read it when I was in my early teens, then realized he was both Canadian and alive. I didn't know, until then, you could be a writer, Canadian and alive all at the same time.
What is your favourite time of day to write?
Before noon.
And favourite place?
I've rented a loft in the village. It's right next door to a creperie - I'm hoping my books are spreading faster than my hips, but not sure that's possible.

A sports story for the Toronto Sun, when I was 16.They made a deal with me.They'd pay me twenty dollars, but if I wanted a by-line I'd have to pay.I paid.
What are you working on at the moment?
Editing book 4 - which has no title - or more accurately it has about five titles that change as the book goes on.None of them will probably be accepted, so I don';t worry. As long as the book is!
