Kate Mosse is the author of two non-fiction books and four novels, including the No 1 multi-million international bestsellers Labyrinth and Sepulchre, both of which are published in 37 languages. Labyrinth won "Richard and Judy's Best Read" at the 2006 British Book Awards and was chosen as one of Waterstone's Top 25 novels of the past 25 years. Her new novel, The Winter Ghosts, is published in October.

One of the Founders and the Honorary Director of the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction and Orange Broadband Award for New Writers, Kate is also involved with a range of literacy and writing initiatives with libraries and reading groups, both in the UK and in Europe. A teacher of Creative Writing at West Dean College, she is Co-Director of the Chichester Writing Festival and has judged various literary/writing prizes, including the Orange Prize, the Asham Award, the Harpers Bazaar/Orange Short Story competition and Guardian First Book Award.

She is a guest presenter for BBC Radio 4's Open Book, Saturday Review and A Good Read and writes for various publications including the Guardian, Times, Sunday Times, Observer, Independent, New Statesman, Financial Times and Bookseller.

Kate lives with her family in West Sussex and Carcassonne.
