About Waterstone's Marketplace

Waterstone's Marketplace offers an extensive range of used, out-of-print, and hard-to-find books.

In partnership with Alibris, a leader in used and collectible books, music, and movies, Waterstone's offers access to tens of millions of items stocked by independent sellers from 45 countries around the world.

Our partnership with Alibris means that you'll notice the Alibris name at various points during your Waterstone's Marketplace experience, including on your card statement ("Alibris Waterstone's") if you make a purchase here. You will also need to create a log-in for your Waterstone's Marketplace account that is different from your log-in for Waterstones.com.

How shopping with Waterstone's Marketplace works

We list availability of items that we do not have in stock or cannot get in stock easily on the product detail page for each item where Waterstone's Marketplace sellers have availability. This is listed in the form of a link saying how many items are available there from what price. This link will open a new window

Additionally for items where we know them not to be available at all from our regular suppliers you will find that the add to basket item in search results is instead a direct link to the marketplace saying Find on Marketplace, again this link will open in a new window.

Unfortunately Gift cards, Waterstone's Card, vouchers, and other Waterstone's promotions are not valid for purchases made on Waterstone's Marketplace.
