To help us deliver your books in time for Christmas, please make sure you place your order before the dates/times listed below. Scroll down the page for details of delivery to store, finding your local store, and our returns policy.
Free delivery to store
How to specify delivery to your local store:
Step 1:
In the Checkout, click on Edit in the Shipping address/Chosen branch section of the page. Then, under the Collect from your local Waterstone's header, click on "Add address"

Step 2:
Select a region from the drop-down menu, and click "Submit".

Step 3:
From the next drop-down menu, select your local store, and click "Submit".

Step 4:
To confirm your selection, click on the "default shipping" button - marked with a red "X" - see below.

Step 5:
When your selection is confirmed, the default shipping button will then display with a green tick (see below). When confirmed, proceed to checkout.

Find details of your local Waterstone's
You can use our store finder page to locate your nearby stores, and find their contact details and opening hours. The store finder can be found at both the top and bottom of each page, in the top navigation bar, and in the "About Waterstone's" section at the bottom of the page.
Returns policy and outstanding orders
Christmas gift return policy
Gifts purchased during November and December can be returned for exchange until 31st January 2009 as long as they are in perfect condition and accompanied with the order number or despatch note. You can also return items to any Waterstone's branch. Unfortunately we can't exchange items in store, only give you a refund, for this you must bring your despatch note that accompanied your delivery or a refund cannot be given. To arrange a return for faulty or damaged goods please call 0845 217 2920.
Calls made from a BT Landline will usually be charged at a standard local rate. Calls from a mobile and other providers will incur a charge with rates varying dependent on the provider. Please contact your service provider for more information. If you are calling from overseas please call: +4420 8495 4549. Please note this is not freephone and prices will vary when calling internationally.
Customers with outstanding orders
Please rest assured that fulfilling your order is our top priority and we have a very large team focused on doing everything we can to get your order to you in time for Christmas.
If you have already received an email confirmation to say that your payment has been processed, you need take no further action, your order is being despatched.
