Shopaholic and Baby: (Shopaholic Book 5) - Shopaholic 5 by Sophie Kinsella

This is the first Shopaholic book I have read and I really enjoyed it. It didn't matter that I didn't know the background as the characters are so well written that you soon feel as though you know them. The book was funny and entertaining and I woud recommend it to anyone who enjoys contemporary writing, especiallythose who love to shop!

An Autobiography: 25th Anniversary Commemorative Edition by Agatha Christie

Most of us have read at least one of Agatha Christie's books, some of us a lot more than one, but how many of us have considered what drove this prolific writer and what is it that makes her novels such an endung success? Christie lived an extraordinary life and this autobiography covers all aspects of her life except the 'missing' period of time which she makes quite clear is not a topic for discussion. I can remeber where I was when read this book, which to me is a sign that it made a real impact and I'm confident in recommending it to anyone who likes to get to know the 'real' person behind the story.

Wicked by Gregory Maguire

Unlike the customer who has reviewed the book, it took me quite a long time to get into this book. Although familiar with the Wizard of Oz film, I had never really considered the other side of the story. The book gives a new perspective on the story and as it progresses it makes more and more sense, with some real quirky touches. Maguire has a whole host of alternative fairy tales published and I look forward to reading some of the others.
