Synopsis

This is "Ferry Publications'" first venture into an annual in order to quench the thirst of the many ship lovers whose primary interest lies with the ferry and cruise ship industries. This book features nine specially commissioned articles dealing with: crossing the Atlantic in the Queen Mary 2, the final years of the Union Castle Line, the Orient liner Oriana and a feature on German ship builders Meyer-Werft. Ferry related articles deal with the ferries of Loch Ryan, the Steam Packet's car ferry Manx Maid, a day in Dublin, the Gourock-Dunoon route and the port of Folkestone. In addition to these features, the annual also includes three photographic interludes which deal with cruise ships at Southampton, Greek ferries and Swedish ferries.
