It may be all over for England, but things are heating up for our Ultimate Writers…
There were some shocking departures in the Quarter Finals:
- Mary Shelley was no match for king of horror Stephen King
- J.K. Rowling discovered that she needed at least one more initial to defeat J.R.R. Tolkien
- George R.R. Martin was shown how a master kills people off by Agatha Christie
- Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was crushed by Neil Gaiman – despite the author’s tweets of anguish:

And so there were four!
Just four writers remain – just two battles to discover who is the #UltimateWriter:
As with Round 1, to take part, all you have to do is vote on which author you think should win the battle – the authors with the most votes will go on to the semi finals next week… How will our fighters fare? You decide. You can keep up with the action using the #UltimateWriter hashtag on Twitter. Let the battles commence! Visit our league table to find out more.
