Anne Fine is aiming for a hat trick as she is once again nominated for the Carnegie medal…
Two-time winner of the Carnegie medal and former Children’s Laureate, Anne Fine could be poised to take home the coveted award once again for her hard-hitting novel Blood Family, which she discussed with us at the Cheltenham Festival last year. Alongside her on this year’s list is Waterstones Children’s Book Prize nominated author Katherine Rundell with her novel Rooftoppers.
Meanwhile, the Kate Greenaway award, for illustration in children’s books, sees Jon Klassen is nominated twice: once for his work on Lemony Snicket‘s The Dark and again for This Is Not My Hat, the follow up to his celebrated I Want My Hat Back.
The winners, who will receive £500 worth of books for their local library, will be announced on 23rd June.
