Marisha Pessl discusses Night Film…

Marisha Pessl‘s second novel Night Film has been a long time coming, but in its detailed creation of a mythical horror film director, his underground cult of fans, and the disappearance of his daughter she has written a book genuinely unlike any other you have read.

Interspersed with clips from Night Film‘s cinematic launch trailer, our interview with Marisha Pessl sees her discussing bringing Stanislas Cordova to life not only on the page but off and in between them – creating a history for him and his followers beyond the realms of her novel. She also touches on issues around censorship, and how the book was initially born out of research into the life of Stanley Kubrick.
